How credits work

What sets the credit price of a Yovid generation, where you see that price before anything runs, how long subscription and pack credits last, and what happens when a job fails.

Credits are the one currency on Yovid: video and image models all draw from the same balance. You never have to guess the price, because it appears on the button before the job starts. Checked on 24 October 2026.

What makes a job cost more

  • The model. Each model has its own rate. The pricing page lists the credit cost of the main video and image models.
  • Seconds. Longer clips cost more than short ones on the same model.
  • Resolution and quality. Higher output settings cost more per clip.
  • The kind of input. Jobs that start from an uploaded video (reference, edit or extend) are priced differently from text-to-video and image-to-video.
  • Your plan. Lite, Pro and Premium apply 10%, 30% and 40% off the standard price.

Seeing the price first

In the video generator the main button reads Generate (N credits), and N follows every change you make to the model, length, resolution or inputs. If an unlimited benefit covers the job, the button says Generate (Free) instead and nothing is deducted. A job that is not covered always shows its credit price, so there is no charge you did not see.

Validity at a glance

SourceHow long the credits last
Monthly or yearly subscription30 days from the day each month's credits arrive
Starter pack (200 credits)180 days
Creator, Studio, Max and Agency packs365 days

Unused subscription credits do not roll into the next month. If you cancel, credits you already have keep their original expiry date.

Credit packs

Packs are one-off purchases with nothing to renew: Starter (200 credits), Creator (375), Studio (600), Max (1,500) and Agency (8,000). Starter covers Seedance, Sora 2, Wan 3.0 and MiniMax H3; Creator and the larger packs also unlock Kling and Veo 3.1 Fast. Flagship models such as Veo 3.1 Pro and Sora 2 Pro need a subscription. You can buy a pack on any plan, including Free, without changing your subscription.

Checking your balance

The credit badge at the top of the generator shows your balance once you are signed in. For the full history, open your credit history page: it shows the balance, then every grant and deduction with its date and expiry.

Failed jobs and refunds

A generation that fails is not charged; if credits were already deducted for it, they return to your balance automatically. That is not a money refund: refunds of a purchase follow the refund policy, summarised in Cancel a subscription.

FAQ

How many credits will my video take?

It depends on the model, the clip length, the resolution and any extra options. Before you submit, the Generate button shows the exact amount for your current settings, for example "Generate (24 credits)", and it updates whenever you change something.

Do paid plans really make each video cheaper?

Yes. Lite takes 10% off the standard credit price, Pro 30% and Premium 40%. A few high-cost models have a minimum charge per job, so the saving on those can be a little smaller.

Do I lose credits if a generation fails?

No. A failed generation is not charged, and if credits were already taken for a job that then fails, they go back to your balance automatically.

When do my credits expire?

Subscription credits last 30 days from the day they arrive, on monthly and yearly plans alike. Starter pack credits last 180 days and the larger packs last 365 days. Your credit history page shows the expiry date of every grant.

I ran out of credits. What are my options?

Buy a credit pack and keep your current plan, or move to a plan with a bigger monthly allowance. Packs never renew and include commercial use.
