What Nano Banana 2.1 Can Make
Why Nano Banana 2.1 Is Worth a Try
- Headlines, Numbers and Labels Spelled the Way You Wrote Them: Quote the copy you need and it lands in the layout, down to coordinates and barcodes.
- Website Mockups, Identity Pages and Product Posters: Full-page 9:16 site designs and editorial posters with a working grid, not a pile of parts.
- Circle an Object, Then Move It to a New Scene: Draw a loop around the subject and the world around it changes while its size and position hold.
- One Packshot, Any Set: Restage a product on new sets while the clasp, grain and color stay true to the photo.
- Up to 14 Reference Images in One Generation: Fuse a whole cast or product line; Google rates likeness for 4 characters and fidelity for 10 objects.
- Photos That Read as Photographed: Macro texture, soft falloff and natural color, rated above Nano Banana 2 and Pro in Google’s tests.
- 14 Aspect Ratios, from 8:1 Banners to 1:8 Scrolls: Choose 1K, 2K or 4K and any ratio; Google fixed tiling on the extreme ones at 2K and 4K.
- Cheaper per Image Than Nano Banana 2 and Pro: 2, 3 or 5 credits per image at 1K, 2K and 4K, shown before you generate.
Headlines, Numbers and Labels Spelled the Way You Wrote Them
Google improved text rendering and infographic layout in the 2.1 update. The poster below came from a single prompt: a split headline, a block of GPS coordinates, an elevation badge, two taglines and a barcode, each where the brief put it.
Quote every line of copy and give it a position, such as top left or the footer card. For type-heavy work choose 2K or 4K, because Google notes that small text can blur at 1K, and proofread before you publish.

Nano Banana 2.1Website Mockups, Identity Pages and Product Posters
Google’s design examples for 2.1 go past a single hero graphic: a Swiss-grid studio site from a one-line prompt, a risograph-style poster built around an uploaded product photo, and an edge-to-edge cabin-retreat site where every photo is duotoned to one blue.
Brief it the way you would brief a designer. Name the grid, give hex colors, list the navigation labels and say what must not appear, such as device frames or placeholder text.

Prompt (abridged): Left: "create a swiss graphic design studio website mockup rigid modern". Middle: "Analyze the attached product photo. Create minimalist retro, mid-century modern illustration style poster …". Right: "Vertical 9:16 full-page website UI design mockup … for a Nordic glass cabin retreat named TUNDRA GLASS RETREAT … EVERY photograph is duotoned into the same single ultramarine blue (#2A2FD4)."
Circle an Object, Then Move It to a New Scene
Mask-based editing is one of the headline gains in 2.1: in Google’s own side-by-side ratings it beat both Nano Banana 2 and Nano Banana Pro on mask and ink edits. There is no brush to learn. Circle the subject in any markup app, upload the image and describe the new surroundings.
Google’s demo moved one dandelion seed onto a mossy log, an autumn leaf, a beach and a tiled table, one generation each. Google also notes the drawn outline can sometimes survive into the result; if it does, ask for it to be removed or run it again.

Nano Banana 2.1One Packshot, Any Set
Google’s product demo starts from one plain photo of a peach crossbody bag and builds three campaign sets around it: a pastel podium, a Memphis-style terrazzo column and a bank of clouds. The gold clasp and pebbled leather carry through each one.
Attach your packshot as a reference, then describe the set, the light and the ratio. Product consistency is another category where Google measured 2.1 ahead of Nano Banana 2 and Nano Banana Pro.

Nano Banana 2.1Up to 14 Reference Images in One Generation
Google’s group-shot demo started from fourteen outfit reference sheets and a one-line brief. The model picked a theme, staged the cast at different depths across a color-block set, and kept each look recognizable.
Yovid accepts up to 14 images per generation. Google’s guidance is to count on likeness for up to 4 characters and high fidelity for up to 10 objects in one workflow, so give each reference a clear job and drop duplicates.

Nano Banana 2.1Photos That Read as Photographed
Better visual quality and realism at 1K, 2K and 4K heads Google’s list of changes in 2.1, and in the model card’s side-by-side ratings people preferred it over both Nano Banana 2 and Nano Banana Pro overall.
Google’s photo prompts read like a photographer’s notes: lens or angle, depth of field, the palette and the mood. The hydrangea below was written that way.
