- The model page. ByteDance Seed's Seedance 2.5 page (seed.bytedance.com/en/seedance2_5) and the July 31 launch post describe the model. They are the source for what Seedance 2.5 can do, but you do not generate videos there.
- The product entry points. Jimeng AI, Doubao Pro and Dreamina are ByteDance's consumer products where you actually type a prompt and get a clip.
- The developer consoles. BytePlus ModelArk (international) and Volcano Engine Ark (China) are where developers create API keys, enable the model and pay for usage.
One update since launch: the July 31 post said API access via BytePlus ModelArk was "coming soon". BytePlus's own pages now say the Seedance 2.5 API is live, and its documentation lists the model ID and request format.

Send a video generation task to https://ark.ap-southeast.bytepluses.com/api/v3/contents/generations/tasks with the model ID dreamina-seedance-2-5-260628. Before you can enable the model, BytePlus asks for one of three things: an account balance above USD 30, an AI Savings Plan at the USD 30 tier or above, or a Seedance 2.5 resource pack. Usage is billed by tokens, and prepaid resource plans switch to pay-as-you-go once they run out.
