Artlist AI Video and Stock Suite Review

Artlist sells licensed music and footage alongside a long menu of AI models, Studio and Flows, all paid for in monthly credits. Here is what users like, what they report, and where Yovid differs.

The short version

Should you pay for Artlist?

If you already license its music, perhaps. Artlist Ltd, the Israeli company behind a well-known royalty-free music and footage catalog, has added an AI suite: more than 50 video models in one menu (Veo 3.1, Kling 4.0 and Seedance 2.5 among them), tools for images, voice, music and 3D, plus Studio, Flows and over 70 presets. The free account stretches to a single test video. Paid AI starts with AI Starter: 16,500 credits a month for $11.99 on yearly billing or $19.99 monthly, and 1080p Seedance 2.5 burns 1,000 of them each second. Trustpilot shows 3.2 from 2,783 reviews. Yovid includes Seedance 2.5 from Lite, sells pay-once packs and returns credits when a run fails.

What You Get on Artlist

Artlist’s AI suite is built on top of a stock library that video creators have relied on for years. These are the parts people pay for, each followed by the closest thing on Yovid.

One Prompt Bar for 50+ Video Models

AI Tools is the workspace where Artlist generates everything, from 3D, music and voiceover to images and video, all through the same prompt bar. When we opened its video menu on October 31, 2026 it held more than 50 entries. Google’s Veo 3.1 and Gemini Omni, Kling 3.0 and 4.0, and ByteDance’s Seedance 2.0 Mini, 2.0 and 2.5 sat beside Grok Imagine, Luma Ray, LTX, Hailuo, MiniMax H3 and Wan, with dedicated models for video upscaling, dubbing, lip-sync and avatars further down.

You can set the model and options by hand or leave the job to the Artlist AI Agent, which chooses them for you in a chat, while Auto-Prompt grows a short idea into a fuller prompt. All models draw on one monthly credit balance; on yearly AI Core and AI Pro, an Unlimited switch moves eligible models off credits.

The Yovid way

Yovid keeps its list short: Veo 3.1, Kling (3.0 and 4.0), Seedance (2.0 and 2.5), Wan 3.0 and MiniMax H3 share one prompt bar, and the credit price shows before every run.

Seedance 2.5 With 50 References and a 480p Draft Pass

Seedance 2.5 on Artlist renders at 1080p, 720p or 480p. Clips last from 4 to 30 seconds, or Smart Duration chooses a length between 4 and 15, and one run can lean on as many as 10 audio files, 10 videos and 30 images. Artlist also lists dialogue in eleven languages, multi-shot prompts, edits limited to a time range, extension forward and backward, and first and last frames.

Draft Mode renders a quick 480p preview you can promote to 1080p. Per the Help Center, each second costs 300 credits at 480p, 600 at 720p and 1,000 at 1080p, so a ten-second 1080p clip uses 10,000 credits, about 60% of the 16,500 that AI Starter grants each month; on October 31, 2026 the model page advertised 25% off 1080p. No plan puts Seedance 2.5 on its Unlimited list.

The Yovid way

On Yovid, Seedance 2.5 is part of every paid plan and pack: up to 30 seconds with sound, guided by reference pictures, clips or audio, at 720p on Lite ($13 a month paid yearly) and 1080p on Pro, Premium and packs.

Studio for Casting, Locations and Shot Lists

Studio is sold as somewhere to run a whole AI production, not as one more generator. A project starts with casting: describe a character’s age, look and mood, or take one from the stock library. Locations come next, written up with their light and hour of the day; then each scene gets a camera angle and lens, and finally every shot is directed for its action, lines and pacing.

Prompt tags define a character or place once for reuse, capture tools lift a character or location out of a generated image, and frame-to-shot continues a scene from a frame you pick. Every AI plan comes with Studio, and free accounts receive 2,000 credits usable nowhere else.

The Yovid way

Yovid has no casting or scene planner. To keep a character steady, give Seedance 2.5 the same reference pictures, clips or audio in each run; one take can last 30 seconds.

Flows: Reusable Node Workflows

Flows is a node canvas: connect generation steps, run the chain in one go and save it for next time. Templates on the check date included Product Visualization, UGC Product Sequence, Product to UGC, Character Sheet, Camera Angles and Multi-Model Video, the last of which sends a single prompt to several video models so you can compare their takes.

Flows comes with every AI plan. Beyond the canvas, Artlist offers editing-app plugins and an MCP server through which Claude and similar assistants can call its models; MCP calls always cost credits, even on Unlimited.

The Yovid way

Yovid’s AI Canvas works the same way on a smaller scale: place image and video steps on one board and chain them, so one result becomes the next step’s input.

Over 70 One-Click Presets

The catalog files its ready-made effects under tabs for Typography, Social, Product, Camera Movement, Editing Tools and Viral, and adds seasonal sets, Halloween on the check date. Highlights included Extend Video, which lengthens a clip by as much as 15 seconds; Smart Resize; Seedance 2.5 Director, which builds a half-minute clip from as many as 30 references; a UGC Product Ad preset that takes up to 30 as well; and Freeze and Rewind.

Behind each preset sits a model, and running one spends credits like any other generation, although a few carry a Free tag. They suit fast social and product posts better than tightly directed shots.

The Yovid way

Yovid has no preset library. For a product spot, start an image-to-video clip from the product photo and describe the motion; Seedance 2.5 can also take reference clips and audio.

Licensed Stock Library Plus AI Music and Voice

By Artlist’s count the catalog holds over 900,000 royalty-free assets, from LUTs and video templates to stock footage, sound effects and music with stems, and exclusive tracks arrive daily. To publish any of it you need a stock plan, Music & SFX or Max for instance; AI-only subscribers and free accounts only get previews with a watermark.

Its AI audio tools cover voice cloning, speech to speech and text to speech of up to 5,000 characters per generation, and the music generator composes from an image as well as from a prompt. According to Artlist, what its AI makes can be used commercially in full, subject to its License and Terms, and nothing you type, upload or generate is used to train models.

The Company Behind Artlist and Where It Is Heading

Artlist Ltd is based in Israel, while customers in South Korea, the EU or the UK sign with Artlist UK Limited. Under its Terms of Use, revised October 14, 2026, disputes fall under Israeli law, except for US customers, who get New York law. The business grew out of licensing royalty-free music to video makers; editing plugins, LUTs, templates, footage and sound effects followed, and the home page now claims 50M+ creators.

The newer pitch is an AI ecosystem for creators and brands: outside models from ByteDance, Kling, Google, MiniMax and more, an in-house image model called Artlist Original 1.0, an MCP server, presets, Flows and Studio, all sold next to the stock catalog. Artlist says it holds SOC 2 Type II certification and offers business and enterprise licenses.

Yovid is a separate, independent multi-model platform for video and images. Seedance, Kling, Veo, Wan and MiniMax H3 share one composer with image models such as GPT Image 2.5 and Seedream 5.0, next to AI Canvas, image and video upscalers and pay-once credit packs, and every run is priced before it starts.

Who Artlist Suits

Artlist fits editors and teams who license music and footage anyway and want many AI models on the same bill. For people who mainly make Seedance clips, or who would rather not hold a monthly plan just for credits, a video-first generator may work out cheaper.

YouTubers and editors

License a soundtrack and effects, drop in stock footage, then generate the missing shot or a voiceover without leaving the account.

Agencies and brand teams

Share AI Pro’s workspace among three members, or move to a Business plan for per-member credit limits, SOC 2 Type II and a commercial license.

Directors and storyboarders

Cast characters, scout locations and frame shots in Studio to previsualize or pitch a sequence ahead of the shoot.

UGC and social marketers

Turn a product photo into a creator-style ad or a trend clip with presets like UGC Product Ad or Freeze and Rewind.

Model comparers

Run one prompt on Seedance, Kling, Veo and more at once with the Multi-Model Video flow, then commit to the winner.

Developers and Claude users

Hook Claude or another assistant up to Artlist’s MCP server and run its models from there, with every call billed in credits.

What Artlist Customers Say on Trustpilot

Artlist claimed its Trustpilot profile in January 2022. The page scores 3.2 across 2,783 reviews, with 30% one-star against 60% five-star and 1,224 written in the past year, and it covers the whole company rather than just the AI tools. Artlist asks its customers for reviews and has answered half of its negative reviews, usually within a week. We read the latest 160, from August 15 to October 30, 2026. The five-star side often names a support agent and praises having the big models and the music catalog in one place; the one-star side is about video credits that vanish, a free tier that stops at a paywall, refunds refused after a single use and generations that ignore the prompt. Each theme links to sample reviews, and a review can support more than one theme.

Praise that keeps coming up

  1. 01

Every big model under one login

Recent five-star reviewers like trying and comparing the leading models without switching sites, call the all-in-one setup a daily time saver, and single out the MCP connection for using Artlist models inside Claude Code.

  2. 02

    A deep music catalog

Long-time subscribers rate the size and quality of the music library, and a four-star reviewer who likes the AI music tools adds a warning that video credits disappear quickly.

  3. 03

    Support that sorts problems fast

Many five-star reviews thank a support agent by name, for example for re-running an AI video test that went wrong, or for settling a plan change and a refund within hours.

Recurring complaints

  1. 01

    Video credits that vanish

This was the product complaint we met most often. Reviewers describe 16,500 credits, sold on a card that mentions up to 330 videos, stretching to just one to three clips; an AI Core allowance emptied by two 15-second Kling 4.0 videos; and roughly 90% of a month’s credits gone on one 30-second clip.

    How Yovid handles it

Each Yovid model shows its credit price before you run it, failed runs give the credits back, and Premium ($99 a month paid yearly) adds one 7-day window per account of free Seedance 2.5 and 2.0 clips, up to 11 ten-second clips at 720p.

  2. 02

A free tier that stops at a paywall

Several one-star reviewers went in expecting a free test. In their telling, Generate gave way to a subscription screen, a Seedance trial demanded a plan anyway, and the bonus video they had been promised failed.

    How Yovid handles it

Yovid’s sign-up credits need no card and run the entry models (Seedance 2.0 Mini and older) with exports up to 720p. Beyond that, packs from $29.90 are paid once and never renew.

  3. 03

    Refunds refused and billing surprises

Reviewers say one generation was enough to void the 14-day refund, that a yearly renewal of almost $500 got no prorated refund, that a monthly plan turned yearly on the last checkout step, and that search ads for other AI brands led them to buy Artlist.

    How Yovid handles it

Yovid refunds a purchase within 3 days if none of its credits were spent, keeping only payment fees (max 4% + $1.50); automatic renewals are excluded. Monthly and yearly plans are priced separately on the pricing page, and packs never renew.

  4. 04

    Generations that ignore the prompt

Others report that clear directions on color, placement and layout get skipped, that the models invent things nobody asked for, and that feedback brings back the same clip while credits drain.

    How Yovid handles it

Yovid shows the price before each run and returns the credits when a run fails, but a finished clip that misses the brief is still charged. Seedance 2.5 accepts reference pictures, clips or audio to pin a look down, and Kling, Veo and Wan sit in the same composer for a second attempt.

Why Some Artlist Users Move to Yovid

Those who switch usually want Seedance without a monthly commitment, or more Seedance seconds for their money.

  1. 01

    Credits you buy once

Yovid packs start at $29.90, include commercial rights and stay usable for 180 days to a year, and each model lists its credit price before you run it. Artlist’s monthly credits don’t roll over, and Top-Ups are limited to yearly plans of 80,000+ credits.

  2. 02

A free Seedance week on Premium

Premium ($99 a month paid yearly) includes one 7-day window per account of free Seedance 2.5 and 2.0 clips, up to 11 ten-second clips at 720p, and failed runs never cost credits. Artlist’s Unlimited lists include Seedance 2.0 Mini and Seedance 1.0 Pro Fast, but not 2.5.

  3. 03

1080p Seedance 2.5 from the Pro plan

On Pro ($14.50 a month paid yearly), Premium and every pack, Seedance 2.5 renders at 1080p; Lite ($13 a month paid yearly) stays at 720p. Either way a clip can run 30 seconds with sound and follow your reference pictures, clips or audio, and Kling, Veo, Wan and MiniMax H3 sit in the same composer.

When Artlist is still the better call

  • You already license music, effects or footage from Artlist and want the AI tools on the same invoice.
  • One workspace with Studio, Flows, presets and more than 50 video models suits you, or you want to reach them from Claude over MCP.
  • Your team wants pooled credits, SOC 2 Type II and a business license on one contract.

Questions People Ask

Straight answers on Artlist, based on what we checked on October 31, 2026.

What is Artlist used for?
Two things. Video makers license royalty-free templates, footage, sound effects and music from its catalog, and its AI suite produces 3D, music, voiceovers, images and video on models like Veo 3.1, Kling 4.0 and Seedance 2.5, with Studio, Flows and presets layered over them.
Can you use Artlist for free?
Only for testing. The free account has no end date and lets you try two songs, three voiceovers, two images and one video, plus 2,000 credits to spend in Studio, yet nothing it makes can be downloaded or put in a project. On October 31, 2026, paying for AI meant AI Starter ($11.99 a month billed yearly, $19.99 monthly), AI Core ($23.99 or $39.99) or AI Pro ($59.99 or $99.99).
Does Artlist offer Seedance 2.5?
Yes. Every AI plan can run it, though always on credits: no plan lists it under Unlimited. A clip lasts between 4 and 30 seconds, renders at 1080p, 720p or 480p, can draw on 10 audio files, 10 videos and 30 images, and can be previewed cheaply in Draft Mode first. Artlist’s Help Center charges 1,000 credits a second at 1080p, 600 at 720p and 300 at 480p.
Are Artlist AI videos cleared for commercial use?
Yes, once you pay. Artlist’s position is that you may use, adapt and earn money from its AI output, within the limits of its License and Terms; it adds that your prompts, uploads and results are never used for training. What a free account makes is only for trying the tools.
How do I cancel Artlist, and will I get a refund?
Turn off renewal from My Account (Billing, then Subscription details); you keep the plan until the current cycle ends. Money back is limited to a first payment or renewal from the past 14 days on which no asset has been created, used or downloaded, though consumer law where you live may give you more.
Which Artlist alternative is better for Seedance video?
Yovid: Seedance 2.5 at up to 1080p on Pro, Premium and packs, pay-once packs from $29.90, and Kling, Veo, Wan and MiniMax H3 in the same composer, with credits returned when a run fails. For cinematic studio tools on top, Higgsfield is the closest multi-model pick.
Is Yovid connected to Artlist?
No. Yovid is independent. Artlist, Seedance, Kling, Veo and the other model names belong to their respective owners and appear here only to describe and compare the products.
