Direct answer: On Yovid, a 5-second Seedance 2.5 clip with sound costs 15 credits at 480p, 31 at 720p and 76 at 1080p. At the Starter credit pack's price ($29.90 for 200 credits), that is about $2.24, $4.63 and $11.36. A full 30-second clip runs from 92 credits ($13.75) at 480p to 453 credits ($67.72) at 1080p. Subscriptions cut the credits per clip: on Pro, the same 5-second 720p clip takes 22 credits, about $1.59 when Pro is billed yearly. ByteDance's own API channels price by token instead. BytePlus ModelArk lists $1.156 for a 5-second 720p video, and Volcano Engine Ark lists ¥7.56. Seedance 2.5 is not part of Yovid's free plan.

Image prompt: Cinematic film still, close-up of a barista pouring steamed milk into a latte at the counter of a small sunlit neighborhood cafe in the morning. The milk folds into a leaf pattern in the cup, a thin curl of steam rises, a chrome espresso machine and stacked ceramic cups soft in the background, warm golden window light, shallow depth of field, 35mm look.

What one Seedance 2.5 video costs on Yovid
Yovid charges Seedance 2.5 by the second, and the rate depends only on resolution: 3.05 credits per second at 480p, 6.1 at 720p and 15.1 at 1080p. The total is rounded to a whole number of credits. Clips can be 4 to 30 seconds long.
The table converts those credits to dollars at two credit-pack prices: Starter, the smallest pack ($29.90 for 200 credits, about $0.15 per credit), and Agency, the pack with the lowest price per credit ($999 for 8,000 credits, about $0.125 per credit). These are standard prices without subscription discounts.
| Clip | Credits | At Starter pack price | At Agency pack price |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5 s, 480p | 15 | $2.24 | $1.87 |
| 10 s, 480p | 31 | $4.63 | $3.87 |
| 30 s, 480p | 92 | $13.75 | $11.49 |
| 5 s, 720p | 31 | $4.63 | $3.87 |
| 10 s, 720p | 61 | $9.12 | $7.62 |
| 30 s, 720p | 183 | $27.36 | $22.85 |
| 5 s, 1080p | 76 | $11.36 | $9.49 |
| 10 s, 1080p | 151 | $22.57 | $18.86 |
| 30 s, 1080p | 453 | $67.72 | $56.57 |
The formula behind every row: pack price ÷ pack credits × credits per second × seconds. For a 10-second 720p clip on the Starter pack, that is $29.90 ÷ 200 × 6.1 × 10 = 61 credits, or $9.12.
Per second, Seedance 2.5 costs about $0.46 at 480p, $0.91 at 720p and $2.26 at 1080p at the Starter price.

The Credit Packs tab on the Yovid pricing page. The Starter pack (1) and the Seedance 2.5 row (2) are marked. Account details are hidden.
The pricing page shows "≈16 videos · $1.87/video" for Seedance 2.5 on the Starter pack. That figure assumes the shortest and cheapest setting, a 4-second 480p clip at 12 credits. Longer or sharper clips cost more, as the table above shows. The generator always shows the exact cost on its button, for example "Generate (31 credits)", before anything runs.
What else changes the price
Two settings you might expect to matter do not change the price on Yovid. Sound costs nothing extra: a clip takes the same credits with Sound on or off. The aspect ratio has no effect either.
These settings do change it:
| Setting | Effect on the price |
|---|---|
| Resolution | 480p, 720p and 1080p are 3.05, 6.1 and 15.1 credits per second |
| Length | Each extra second adds one second's rate; 4 seconds is the minimum |
| Draft mode | A draft always renders and bills at 480p; turning it into 1080p is billed like a direct 1080p clip |
| Starting from an uploaded video | Reference and extend jobs bill the input and the output seconds together, at 2.12, 4.58 or 10.21 credits per second |
| Editing an uploaded video | Credits for the input plus up to 30 seconds of output are held at the start, then settled to the length Seedance 2.5 actually returns |
| Your plan | Lite, Pro and Premium charge fewer credits per clip than a credit pack (see the next section) |
Resolution also depends on how you pay. Lite renders Seedance 2.5 at up to 720p. Pro, Premium and every credit pack go up to 1080p, which is the highest resolution Seedance 2.5 offers.
Subscription or credit pack: 10, 30 or 100 clips a month
Credit packs are one-off payments that never renew. Starter credits last 180 days and the larger packs last 365 days. Subscription credits arrive every month and last 30 days, but each clip costs fewer credits. These are the credits the generator charged for a Seedance 2.5 clip with sound on October 31, 2026:
| How you pay | Price per month | Credits per month | 5 s, 480p | 5 s, 720p | 5 s, 1080p |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Any credit pack | One-off ($29.90–$999) | Pack size | 15 | 31 | 76 |
| Lite | $14.90, or $13 billed yearly | 100 | 14 | 28 | Not available |
| Pro | $29, or $14.50 billed yearly | 200 | 11 | 22 | 53 |
| Premium | $149, or $99 billed yearly | 1,300 | 10 | 22 | 53 |
Pro and Premium also come with larger monthly allowances: Pro with 500 credits ($59 a month, or $49.90 billed yearly) or 800 credits ($89, or $69 billed yearly), and Premium with 2,000 credits ($219, or $169 billed yearly) or 3,000 credits ($299, or $229 billed yearly).
To pick one, count clips. The table below uses Yovid's default settings for Seedance 2.5, 5 seconds at 720p:
| Clips a month | Credits on a pack | Pack that covers it | Credits on Pro or Premium | Smallest subscription that covers it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10 | 310 | Creator, $49.90 for 375 credits | 220 | Pro with 500 credits: $59 a month, or $49.90 billed yearly |
| 30 | 930 | Max, $199 for 1,500 credits | 660 | Pro with 800 credits: $89 a month, or $69 billed yearly |
| 100 | 3,100 | Agency, $999 for 8,000 credits | 2,200 | Premium with 3,000 credits: $299 a month, or $229 billed yearly |
Three points before you buy:
- Lite costs the least each month, but 100 credits cover only 3 clips at 5 seconds and 720p (28 credits each). Best for: trying Seedance 2.5 at 480p or 720p on a small budget. Not for: 1080p, which Lite does not offer, or commercial work on monthly billing, which Lite does not include.
- Pro is the cheapest way to reach 1080p on a subscription, and billed yearly it brings a 5-second 720p clip down to about $1.59. Best for: a steady few dozen clips a month. Not for: months when you make nothing, because unused credits expire after 30 days.
- Credit packs have no monthly commitment, and Creator and larger packs last a year. Best for: a single project, or work that comes in bursts. Not for: regular volume, where every clip costs more credits than on a plan.
Current plan and pack prices are always on the pricing page, and how credits work covers validity and balance checks.
Seedance 2.5 prices on other platforms
Each platform below publishes its own Seedance 2.5 prices, checked on October 31, 2026 on its official site. The API channels bill by token, so their published per-video examples assume a 16:9 clip without video input. Where a platform does not publish a per-video price, the cell says so.
| Platform | 5 s, 480p | 5 s, 720p | 5 s, 1080p | How it bills |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Yovid, Starter pack | $2.24 | $4.63 | $11.36 | Credits, 3.05 / 6.1 / 15.1 per second |
| Yovid, Pro billed yearly | $0.80 | $1.59 | $3.84 | Credits, 11 / 22 / 53 per 5 s clip |
| BytePlus ModelArk (API) | $0.514 | $1.156 | $2.843 | Tokens: $10.70 per million at 480p and 720p, $11.70 at 1080p |
| Volcano Engine Ark (API, China) | ¥3.36 | ¥7.56 | ¥18.71 | Tokens: ¥70 per million at 480p and 720p, ¥77 at 1080p |
| Dreamina by CapCut | Not published | Not published | Not published | Plan credits; its Seedance 2.5 page lists 720p from $0.16 per second on Standard, $0.10 on Advanced and $0.08 on Ultra |
BytePlus and Volcano Engine both say these are estimates: the token count comes from the output's width, height, frame rate and length, and the API response reports the final count. Both charge only for videos that generate successfully. Dreamina's per-second figures appear next to its yearly plans, which were on first-year discounts that day.
How to read the table:
- BytePlus ModelArk is ByteDance's international API, with the model ID
dreamina-seedance-2-5-260628. Best for: developers who want the lowest list price and will write their own integration. Not for: people who want to type a prompt and get a clip without setting up an account and code. - Volcano Engine Ark is the same model for developers in China, billed in yuan. Best for: teams with a Volcano Engine account. Not for: anyone outside its service area.
- Dreamina is ByteDance's creative app outside China, sold as credit plans. Best for: creators who want ByteDance's own app and its other tools. Not for: comparing a single clip's cost in advance, since it does not publish per-video credits for Seedance 2.5.
- Yovid sells the model in a browser generator next to Kling, Veo, Wan and other video models, with prices in credits. Best for: people who want Seedance 2.5 and other models on one balance, with a pack that does not renew. Not for: the lowest possible cost per clip at volume, where the API channels list lower prices.

Five ways to spend fewer credits
- Draft at 480p first. A 5-second 480p draft costs 15 credits. Fix the prompt there, then convert only the version you like to 1080p. Seedance 2.5 draft mode explains the steps.
- Test the wording on a cheaper model. Seedance 2.0 Mini renders a 5-second 480p clip for 6 credits. Use it to check that a prompt reads the way you mean before you spend Seedance 2.5 credits on it.
- Choose the length on purpose. Credits scale with every second. If the shot works in 6 seconds, a 10-second clip costs two thirds more for no gain.
- Match resolution to where the clip goes. A 720p clip costs about 40% of the same clip at 1080p. For phone feeds and quick tests, 720p is often enough.
- Bill yearly if you create every month. On Pro, yearly billing halves the monthly price for the same 200 credits.
A short test prompt keeps the first render cheap. This one fits a 5-second clip at 480p:
Close-up of a barista pouring steamed milk into a latte in a small sunlit cafe, the milk folding into a leaf pattern, slow push-in, soft clatter of cups and the hiss of an espresso machine, warm morning light.
When the draft looks right, render it again at 720p or 1080p, or describe a longer shot. This 10-second version costs 61 credits at 720p:
Low tracking shot beside a cyclist riding along an empty coastal road at sunrise, cliffs and a calm sea on the right, sea mist over the water, wheels humming on the asphalt, wind rushing past, the camera slowly rising to reveal the coastline ahead.

Image prompt: Cinematic film still of a lone adult cyclist riding along an empty coastal road at sunrise, seen from a low side angle as the camera tracks alongside. Cliffs and a calm sea to the right, long golden light, a light sea mist over the water, motion blur on the spinning wheels, wind in a light jacket, shallow depth of field, natural colors.
What is free and what is not
Seedance 2.5 needs a paid plan or a credit pack on Yovid. The 5 free credits you get at sign-up cover the entry models such as Seedance 2.0 Mini, where a 4-second 480p clip costs exactly 5 credits. Without an account, you can try one Seedance 2.0 Mini clip of 4 seconds at 480p, with a watermark. Neither option includes Seedance 2.5. Is Seedance 2.5 free? compares the cheapest ways to start.
FAQ
Does Seedance 2.5 have free credits on Yovid?
No. Free sign-up credits only cover the entry models, such as Seedance 2.0 Mini. Seedance 2.5 needs Lite, Pro, Premium or any one-time credit pack, including the $29.90 Starter pack.
Do Yovid credits expire?
Yes. Subscription credits last 30 days from the day they arrive, on monthly and yearly billing alike. Starter pack credits last 180 days, and Creator, Studio, Max and Agency credits last 365 days. Your credit history page shows the expiry date of each grant.
Am I charged if a generation fails?
No. Credits are held while the clip renders and deducted only when it completes. If the generation fails, the held credits go back to your balance automatically.
Does turning sound on or off change the price?
No. On Yovid, a Seedance 2.5 clip costs the same with Sound on or off. Only resolution, length, the input type and your plan change the credit count.
Is the Yovid API price the same as the website?
Yes. The Yovid API spends the same credits from the same balance as the website, with no separate API subscription or per-call fee. Each task reports its exact cost in credits_used once it is accepted.
Prices change, so check the pricing page before you buy and read more cost breakdowns under Pricing & Benchmarks. When you are ready, open the Yovid AI video generator, pick Seedance 2.5, paste one of the prompts above and render a 5-second 480p test before you commit to a longer clip.
